We are a worldwide community of independent musicians, singers, bands, songwriters, record labels, music professionals and service providers who are coming together to support each other by sharing ideas, expertise, contacts and resources.
Since holding our first informal musicians’ luncheon in Nashville in September ’08, Indie Connect has evolved into a professional membership organization exclusively for the independent music industry. Our mission is to unite independent singers, musicians, bands, songwriters and industry professionals under one umbrella organization for the sole purpose of helping and supporting each other. Some of the services Indie Connect provides include:
- Live Chapters: Indie Connect has live chapters meeting in cities around the country that host local training/networking meetings and workshops.
- Online Training: We have amassed a vast library of powerful full-length training videos, articles, valuable tools, podcasts, and more about all aspects of the music industry.
- Indie Connect Magazine: This is a free monthly online publication packed with videos, articles, resources and more (www.indieconnectmagazine.com)
- Indie Connect Community: We host a free online community with over 500 members at http://www.indieconnect.org
- Partner Discounts: Our members get many partner discounts such as free 6-month memberships to Broadjam and Airplay Direct (later this month), plus discounts on hotels, duplication services, books, songwriter services, organization memberships (Songsalive!, CT Songwriters Assn. etc) and more.
- Membership: We offer three levels of membership based on your industry experience and goals so you are not paying for anything you don’t need.

We are currently working on providing other benefits such as health insurance, discounts on physical and digital distribution etc. for our members.
Corporate Information
Indie Connect was founded in 2008 by Vinny Ribas, and incorporated in May 2009. Vinny is a former full-time musician, booking agent and artist manager. The company has assembled a team of successful professionals to serve on its advisory boards (see The Team below).
