Indie Connect hosts international virtual meeting events so you can connect with and learn from people from every sector of the music industry from all over the world!
There are no virtual meetings scheduled at this time.
Here are some key points:
- Participants must register and pay ahead of time. See details after each meeting announcement.
- It is highly recommended that every participant set up a personal profile at www.indieconnect.org, our free social network, so that networking can continue even after the virtual meeting is over.
- The number of participants is strictly limited so that everyone can participate in the structured networking part of the events. You will have 1 minute to introduce yourself and tell the group what you need next. Using the built-in technology, anyone who can help you with your request will be able to contact you privately. Further networking can be done at www.indieconnect.org.
- Most events will also feature a guest speaker discussing some aspect of being a successful independent artist, musician, songwriter or industry professional.
- Some events may be designated as ‘networking only’.
- A good videocamera and microphone is recommended, but neither is mandatory. Speakers or headphones are required so that you can hear the conversations and speaker.
- A high-speed connection is highly recommended.
- Once you’re registered, you’ll receive an email with a link to the meeting. At meting time, click on the link and it will bring you right to the meeting. There is no need to download any software.
- A moderator will walk you through the screen functions so you can talk, mute your mic, start a private conversation with another attendee, turn your camera off etc.
