| I finally discovered why I have avoided “networking” in person for the last few years. It usually was a huge waste of time! Indie Connect is a place with purpose. I have yet to leave a meeting where I didn’t: #1 learn something new, #2 meet someone who I could help #3 meet someone who could help me. The attendees are interesting, friendly and serious about the music business; the speeches have been inspiring and information-packed. I just left another such meeting today where speaker Marc-Alan Barnette blew our socks off.
