5 Ways To Win New Fans

Your job is to ‘WOW’ your audiences so that they become ardent and enthusiastic fans. Here are 5 ways to do that:[private_freebie]

1. Find the best songs that you can to perform and record. Writing every song yourself is satisfying. But if you’re not an a-list writer, you may be missing the boat on winning fans.

2. Give stuff away! It doesn’t have to be expensive. For example, free downloads cost nothing, and can make money if people like what they hear and buy more songs or your entire CD. Or, give away a free key chain your logo on it with the purchase of a CD, or a free t-shirt with the purchase of 2 CDs.

3 Stick around after the show and meet your fans. Shake hands. Get to know them. Sign CDs, t-shirts etc. Let them know that they are important to you. Don’t leave until every last fan has left!

4. Don’t just play music, ENTERTAIN! Rehearse every aspect of your performance. Be sure the band is tight. Be sure you have a good balance of music and banter with the crowd. Interject jokes or funny stories. Learn how to move your audience with emotion!

5. Thank your audience even after they’ve all gone! Hopefully you add people to your mailing list at each show. Send them a thank you and offer them a free music or video download to show your appreciation. Videotape or record parts of your show and put it online so that your new (and established) fans can re-live the experience any time they want to!

What are some unique ways that you have found to win new fans? Share them so everyone can benefit![/private_freebie]
