If you are booking yourself, these are questions you should ask any new entertainment buyer you call. Pick the ones that fir your scenario and create your own questionnaire.

  • How far in advance do you book?
  • How big is the venue?

  • Do you supply sound? Soundman?
  • Do you supply lighting? Lighting tech?
  • Do you supply any other equipment?
  • What time can we load in? Sound check?
  • How many sets? How long are they?
  • Do you charge at the door? How much?
  • Will people be dancing?
  • Do you serve food? Are any meals included?
  • What other acts have been successful there?
  • Are sleeping rooms included? How many? Recommendations?
  • How far are you from the airport?
  • Do you provide an airport shuttle? Is there a shuttle?
  • What can I do to help you?

It is best to discuss your price after you know the answers to these questions so that you kow what your costs are going to be. Also, the last question is the most important. Buyers need to know that you are looking out for them as much as you are for yourself!
