The music world is changing every day. The good news is that new developments mean new opportunities for singers, musicians and songwriters. There are more ways for an artist or writer/composer to make money than there has ever been in the history of music![private_member]
The Internet has been a major factor in this evolution because it has made it possible to reach thousands of times more potential fans in a fraction of the time that it took in the ‘old days’. And with these new opportunities has come an endless array of new online tools, powerful software programs, helpful websites and more. In a world that is moving faster than ever, you need to have tools to move faster than you ever have!
Are you proactively try to keep up with the changes and the opportunities that are now all around you, or will everything you’re doing be obsolete before too long? Because music is the industry you have chosen to build your life around, you should be hungry for help and information. It is a powerful way to develop a strong competitive edge over all of the other artists who are sitting back and resting on their talent, waiting to be ‘discovered’!
Not too long ago I was reading an article about changes in the industry. It mentioned 12 websites for musicians that I had never heard of! I checked them out, and found some amazing tools that can make every musician’s life easier. But I would never have heard of them if I had not been seeking information in the first place!
There are ample places for you to get information that will keep you ahead of the curve (and make your life easier while allowing you to make much more money)! There are countless industry magazines, hundreds, if not thousands of useful websites, conventions, workshops, seminars and teleseminars, organizations and more that you can take advantage of. Do you want to lug your equipment up the stairs to the top of the charts, or would you like to know where the elevator is?
